Luxury SUVs like the Acura MDX and the Lexus RX 350 offer classic luxury and room for the whole family. They're also fun to drive with lots of power and the latest features. Which one is right for you, though? The team at Maus Acura of North Tampa put together this 2020 Acura MDX vs. 2020 Lexus RX 350 comparison to help drivers in Westchase, Tampa, and Pebble Creek, FL, decide.

Passenger & Cargo Room

The 2020 Acura MDX comes with three rows of seats. With space for up to seven people, all your family and friends can pile into this stylish SUV. On top of offering that kind of space in every trim level, the MDX gives you plenty of room for your things.

The trunk features 15 cubic feet of cargo room, plus a hidden storage compartment with a smart lid. Folding seats make it easy to pack more, too. With the third row folded down, you'll have 38.4 cubic feet of space. If you ever need to move furniture or lots of boxes, you can fold down the second-row seats, too, and get up to 68.4 cubic feet of cargo room.

The Lexus RX 350 only has seating for five passengers. It comes with two rows of seats and only 18.4 cubic of space in the trunk. While folding seats do come standard, folding down the second row only gives you up to 56.3 cubic feet of cargo room.

Infotainment System

The Acura MDX features modern luxury throughout the interior. While its perforated leather seats offer a comfortable and refined ride, the infotainment system steals the show. It features a pair of high-definition touchscreens stacked on top of each other.

The infotainment system comes with lots of smartphone compatibility, too. You can stream music and make hands-free calls with Bluetooth® or sync your apps to the system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

The Lexus RX 350 features all the same smartphone compatibility, but its dashboard features contradictory styles. On the one hand, there's a wide touchscreen on top of the dashboard. Just below that, you'll find a small analog clock. Overall, the dashboard looks like two systems that were designed for different vehicles.

The Acura MDX comes with a standard 3.5L V6 engine, but a powerful and efficient hybrid powertrain is also available. The MDX Sport Hybrid gets up to 321 horsepower and provides you with an EPA-estimated 26 city/27 highway MPG.i

A 3.5L V6 engine also comes standard on the Lexus Rx 350. It features a little less power with 295 horsepower and needs to stop for gas more often with an EPA-estimated 20 city/27 highway MPG.
