Exhilarating Performance

The Acura RDX has a bold, aerodynamic design and lots of power under the hood. It runs on a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that gets up to 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. To harness that power, there's a versatile 10-speed automatic transmission. Sequential SportShift paddle shifters come standard to give you more control over your drive, too. Plus, to help keep you in control on wet roads and during storms, there's the available Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®), a highly sophisticated system far beyond conventional all-wheel drive.

The Audi Q5 comes with standard all-wheel drive, but its 7-speed transmission isn't quite as capable. Paddle shifters don't come standard, either, so you can't take control of the gears. Its 2.0L 4-cylinder engine does offer a sporty drive, but it can only deliver up to 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.

Cargo Room

Both the Acura RDX and the Audi Q5 offer seating for five passengers and lots of storage space. The Acura makes sure you'll have enough space for all your things with 29.5 cubic feet of cargo room. To pack more, you can quickly fold down the back seats and get up to 58.9 cubic feet of space. You'll also find a large underfloor storage compartment. With the seats down and the storage compartment open, you'll have up to 76.9 cubic feet of cargo room.

The Audi Q5 does not offer a hidden storage compartment. Flip the floor up and all you'll find is the spare tire. The trunk gives you almost as much space, though, with 25.1 cubic feet of cargo room. Folding seats are also included, but they only give you a maximum 53.1 cubic feet of space.

Technology & Amenities

Both SUVs feature a classy cabin with options like leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Acura RDX also includes lots of premium amenities. For example, you'll have plenty of ways to get comfortable with 12-way power adjustable front seats with lumbar support. Everyone can also enjoy a bright and sunny drive with a panoramic moonroof.

On top of the dashboard, you'll find a 10.2-inch high-definition screen for your infotainment system. You can connect your smartphone to the system with standard Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™. Plus, a Wi-Fi hotspot lets you stay connected wherever you go.

The Audi Q5 has all the same smartphone compatibility, just on a much smaller 7-inch screen. Unfortunately, it doesn't include Wi-Fi. The power adjustable seats only have eight positions and you won't find a moonroof until the top trim levels.
