620 × 240

Acura’s redesigned three-row MDX puts the luxe in luxury car. The 2022 MDX adds style with a more commanding grille flanked by LED headlights and "chicane" style LED daytime runners as well as LED tail lights. You’ll find updates to the powertrain, seating, cargo space, safety features, and infotainment. Starting at $47,925, here are the biggest changes you’ll see on the 2022 Acura MDX, coming this summer.

Enhanced Performance

The 3.5-liter V-6 with 290 horsepower now features a 10-speed automatic transmission instead of a nine-speed. Lightly modified, this engine boasts reduced noise and particulate emissions. This base powertrain has an available all-wheel drive. The performance-focused Type S model gives you a turbocharged 355 horsepower 3.0-liter V-6 and standard all-wheel drive.

Even More Safety Features

Adding to the already impressive safety suite are elements such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane keeping assist. Now standard is a driver attention monitor, pedestrian detection, and traffic sign recognition. Also standard is Acura’s Traffic Jam Assist, which controls braking and acceleration at slow speeds to reduce driver fatigue in traffic. And the second row, when used as bench seats, accommodates three car seats.

Comfort and Cargo

The 2022 MDX adds more room behind the third and second row. Plus, you’ll find a spacious underfloor storage compartment and a reversible cargo floor with an easy-clean plastic side. The second row’s middle seat is removable, creating a 14-inch pathway to the third row. And with the push of a button, the second-row seats collapse and slide forward, helping passengers climbing into the back seats.

Improved Infotainment

In the 2022 Acura MDX, you’ll find a more user-friendly infotainment system with a 12.3-inch display and center console-mounted touchpad control. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard, as well as Amazon Alexa voice controls. The ELS Studio stereo system is included on the Technology trim while the A-Spec and Advanced models get a 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D system.
