2022 Acura RDX First Look Post

Acura constantly finds new and exciting ways to update their cars with every new release, and the 2022 Acura RDX is no different. As we found out when Kelley Blue Book got an insider’s look at the all-new and refreshed RDX in Long Beach, CA before it arrives at dealerships!

Your friends at Maus Acura of North Tampa are excited to share all the fun upgrades, additions, and more that were discovered during this first look at the all-new 2022 Acura RDX with you today! And be sure to check out the video to see these incredible new features for yourself!

Exterior

Acura took inspiration from the stylish MDX with the new larger grille intakes and a thinner chrome frame with this new refresh to the RDX line. They even added unique cutouts for the dual, rectangular exhaust, and depending on which trim level you decide on, you can have either 19” or 20” wheels. The Long Beach Blue Pearl paint featured in the video has quickly become one of our new favorite colors!

Interior

The revamped interior of the new RDX promises to be quieter than the previous model year, and that just makes the all-new 16-speaker ELS audio system all the more exceptional! They’ve upgraded the tech in this model, too, with things like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with a USB-C charging port. They’ve even added more space inside with added legroom for the driver and passenger.

Driving Dynamics & Performance

They’ve created four distinct drive modes for the new RDX: comfort, sport, and snow, which will automatically adjust settings for steering and throttle! Fortunately, around here in North Tampa, that’s not something you need to worry about, but the sport mode will be fun! But, of course, you still get the turbocharged 2-liter engine that puts out a hefty 272-horsepower with a 10-speed automatic transmission. And they’ve made AWD available on all trim levels now too!

Safety Features

Standard safety features like blind-spot monitoring and lane change assist are included in AcuraWatch, their state-of-the-art suite of safety features. They’ve even added traffic sign recognition and a forward-collision warning system that can detect pedestrians too!
