Video Review: The 2025 Acura Integra A-Spec 6-Speed

We’re getting another treat from Joe Raiti of Raiti’s Rides—and this one’s for the purists. He stopped off RIGHT HERE at Maus Acura of North Tampa, putting the 2025 Acura Integra A-Spec through its paces and showing off that slick 6-speed manual transmission. If you’ve ever wondered whether this reborn Integra delivers real driving excitement, buckle up.

This isn’t just another compact sports sedan—it’s a throwback with a modern twist—blending Acura’s heritage, turbocharged performance, and premium touches into one tempting package. But does it have what it takes to hold its own against its kissing cousin, the Honda Civic Si? That’s exactly what Joe set out to find out.

A Fresh Take on an Iconic Nameplate

When Acura brought back the Integra name, not everyone was thrilled. Some fans wanted a Type R revival, but Acura had bigger plans—crafting a lineup that offers performance across multiple levels, from the A-Spec to the fire-breathing Type S.

The A-Spec sits right in the middle, offering a balanced mix of performance, premium features, and daily drivability. And according to Joe, that’s exactly why it makes so much sense.

Aggressive Styling with a Nod to the Past

The 2025 Integra A-Spec stands out from the moment you lay eyes on it. It’s got the soul of a sport sedan, but with a liftback design that blends practicality with sleek, coupe-like lines.

Up front, all-LED lighting, including Acura’s signature Jewel Eye headlights, gives it a sharp, modern look. The gloss black grille, with its interwoven diamond pattern, keeps things aggressive. Look closely, and you’ll spot an Easter egg—Acura stamped into the headlight housing, just like the original Integra from 1986.

The A-Spec treatment adds sporty details like shark-gray 18-inch wheels, gloss-black trim, and a subtle rear spoiler. And yes, the Integra name is boldly embossed on the rear, just like it was back in the day. It’s these small touches that make it special.

And Joe? He’s into it, claiming it has more style than the Civic. He’s like us—he loved Acura’s aggressive styling.

Under the Hood: A Turbocharged Punch

Powering the A-Spec is a 1.5L turbocharged inline-four, producing 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a slick-shifting 6-speed manual and, importantly, a limited-slip differential—which means it can actually put the power down.

Sure, it shares its engine with the Civic Si, but Joe says the manual transmission makes all the difference. Acura’s 6-speed is one of the best in the business. 0-60 mph? Around 6.7 seconds. Not a rocket, but plenty quick for a compact sports sedan.

Joe’s verdict? The Acura’s not all about crazy horsepower, but balance. He thought the Integra nailed it when it came to handling and driving engagement.

Interior: Premium Comfort Meets Driving Focus

Inside, Acura keeps things clean, driver-focused, and premium. Joe highlights the soft-touch materials, contrast stitching, and real aluminum trim that elevate the cabin over a Civic Si.

Front and center is a 9-inch infotainment screen—which, while not the biggest, is fast, responsive, and packed with Google integration. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, as does a killer 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D sound system.

Still, the seats are well-bolstered and supportive, and Joe appreciates the power-adjustable driver’s seat—a feature the Type S doesn’t even get. One major A-Spec advantage? Cargo space.

Because it’s a liftback, the Integra offers 24 cubic feet of cargo room, making it far more practical than a traditional trunk.

Is the Integra A-Spec Worth It? Definitely—See for Yourself!

At $36,000, the 2025 Acura Integra A-Spec sits above the Civic Si but well below the Type S. So, does it make sense? Joe’s answer: Absolutely. So, want to see for yourself? Head to Maus Acura of North Tampa or call us at (813) 535-6287 and take one for a spin!
