What We Know About The 2023 Acura Integra | Maus Acura of North Tampa

We haven’t seen a brand-new Acura Integra since 2001 on the roads of Florida, but that’s about to change with the soon-to-come 2023 Acura Integra! Acura has been dropping hints to Integra lovers all over the country for a while now. Still, until recently, there hasn’t been a lot of information about what we can expect from this hotly anticipated rebirth of one of the most popular front-wheel-drive sports cars ever made.

Here are some of the highlights of what we’re most excited about.

Presents Under The Hood

While Acura hasn’t released the actual numbers on the all-new Integra, the Acura pros here at Maus Acura believe it will be powered by a 1.5-liter VTEC engine—the same one found in the 2023 Civic Hatchback. The chances are that it will be reconfigured for more horsepower than the 180 that the engine currently comes with—somewhere around 200 to 220 thanks to a turbocharged VTEC. Acura is even designing a sports performance-tuned Type S version that is more a hotrod and four-door coupe.

Standard Manual Gearbox

It’s too early to tell yet, but all the promotional imagery and video has suggested that the all-new Integra will come with a six-speed manual transmission that’s standard. This is exciting news for the driving purist that loves feeling like they’re more in touch and tune with the road by driving manual. Just like the third-generation Integra GS-R back in 1993, the all-new 2023 Integra will likely come with an optional automatic transmission.

There May Be No Coupe Option

Acura currently has no intention of adding a three-door version of the all-new Integra at this time. Instead, they’ve chosen to bring back the four-door hatchback design last seen on the first-generation Integra. And to say it’s sleek and sexy is an understatement. The roofline swoops backward and connects with a tiny deck-lid spoiler that creates the ultimate aerodynamics on this driving machine. While no coupe option is coming, that doesn’t mean you can’t transform the way you drive with the all-new Integra.

Pricing

Starting at around $30,000, the Integra is about $3,000 more than a Civic Si and about the same as a Volkswagen GTI Mk8. Now, if they put out a Type S model, you’ll expect to pay a premium price upgrade than for the standard 2023 Acura Integra.
